A+ School Achievement

Under the CSR initiative of Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Pvt. Ltd., implemented by Hand in Hand India, Zilla Parishad School in Moroshi Panchayat, Khed Block, Pune, Maharashtra has undergone a remarkable transformation in infrastructure, learning environment, safety and holistic student development. The school now has four spacious classrooms, a multipurpose hall with Galvalume sheet roofing, solar panels, a kitchen room, separate toilets for girls and boys, a compound wall with fencing, and improved flooring and painting. A 350-foot borewell with motor, a 2,000-litre overhead tank and a five-tap hand wash unit ensure water access and hygiene, while improved pathways provide safe movement. A digital smart classroom with a digital board and two desktop computers, along with books, furniture and learning resources, has strengthened teaching and student engagement. Sports kits, uniforms and safety measures further support development. As a result, the school achieved an A+ Grade under Maharashtra’s School Quality Assessment and Assurance Framework, placing it among only 429 schools out of over 102,000 assessed.
