HIH INDIA SIGNS MoU with HPCL- Mittal Energy Limited, BATHINDA, PUNJAB
Hand in Hand India (HiH India) enters its eleventh state of operations in India after signing an MoU with HPCL- Mittal Energy Limited (also referred to as HMEL) at Bathinda, Punjab! The agreement between the parties comes under the purview of the ‘corporate social responsibility’ activities of HMEL in Punjab.
Hand in Hand India’s scope of work in the partnership is to empower women and youth through training, capacity building and job creation in the vicinity of the 11 villages of the HMEL in Bathinda, Punjab. Prime work areas of HiH India would include forming the community women into SHGs, training and capacity building for job creation and livelihoods promotion. Special focus will be on providing ‘on the job’ training and setting up 10 business units for HMEL trained youth and women. To enhance business opportunities in the communities, training on financial literacy and financial inclusion will be imparted to the people in the villages.
Through this partnership, HiH India and HMEL look forward to significantly contributing to the growth and wellbeing of people of Bathinda, Punjab.
