Dr. Kalpana Sankar is a Microfinance, Monitoring and Evaluation & Community Mobilisation Expert. Dr.Sankar holds two Ph.D.s – one in Physical Sciences and one in Gender Perspective of Women in Self-Help Groups(SHGs) and holds an International Certificate from Boulder Institute in Transformation of NGOs.

With over two decades of experience in the development sector, she is a specialist in poverty assessment, participatory assessment of SHGs & NGOs, participatory rural appraisal, gender-differentiated impact, developing monitoring tools and indicators, preparation of manuals / guidelines on gender issues.

Dr.Sankar has handled several international missions from Rome, China, Vietnam, Ethiopia and Maldives and received special commendation from United Nations Office for Project Services, Bangkok. She has trained high level delegates from the Ministry of Agriculture, South Africa and Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation Department, Afghanistan on microfinance. She has been a consultant to UNDP, UNOPS, Wetlands International and Christian Aid and has supported poverty alleviation projects in South Africa, Afghanistan and Brazil. She also has authored various publications and manuals on child labour, microfinance and self-help groups.



Mr.Srinivas Krishnaswamy

Mr.Srinivas Krishnaswamy is an expert in Strategic Consulting, Financial Advisory and Consulting for Development Studies. He is a Mechanical Engineer with an MBA in Finance from XLRI and a Chartered Financial Analyst from AIMR, USA.

Mr.Krishnaswamy specialises in the area of finance and preparation of feasibility studies. He has worked with a leading bank in the Middle East as Head of Research in their Investment Banking Division. Prior to that, he worked as a Senior Consultant at Ernst & Young. He also worked at ICICI Bank in the Advisory Services and at the Credit Division.
